Add a document to your webpage (Your webpage will look like this http://myweb.uiowa.edu/YourHawkID) )

Lab 1: Internet basics – Due Sept 09

1. Create a notepad text document. The link here explains how to create a text document - http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch001359.htm

2. Once you have your text document, transfer files to web page using Filezilla. The instructions to transfer files is given in "Filezilla for transferring files.pdf" file on your ICON page.

3. Verify if it works by going to your web browser(Chrome/Mozilla/Internet explorer) and type "www.myweb.uiowa.edu/YourHawkID/YourDocument.txt"

4. On ICON, go to Dropbox and should turn in:

The text file you transferred –YourDocument.txt (On ICON, you need to upload this file, by clicking "Add File" button)
